Dubai Police reunites lost child of determination with family in under an hour

Dubai Police swiftly reunited a six-year-old child of determination with his family after he was found crying and alone near Naif Market. The incident unfolded when each of the boy’s parents assumed he was with the other.

The General Department of Operations received a report of a missing child, prompting immediate deployment of officers to the area. Authorities discovered the distressed boy and brought him to the nearest police station, where the Victim Support Section provided him with care and emotional support.

According to Brigadier Omar Moussa Ashour, Acting Director of Naif Police Station, the child’s father was located within an hour. It was later learned that the boy had left home on his own, thinking he was accompanying his mother to visit his father’s nearby shop, but ended up wandering into the street.

The father signed a formal commitment to prevent similar incidents in the future, stressing that the child’s safety would be a top priority moving forward.

Dubai Police reminded parents to remain vigilant and avoid leaving their children unattended. Authorities also encouraged families to educate children on what to do if they get lost — including asking help from police or security staff.
