Dubai Police has broadened its innovative ‘On-the-Go’ initiative with two new services aimed at boosting community access and support—specifically for workers and people of determination.
The newly launched features include a platform for labour complaints and a dedicated emergency assistance service for individuals with physical, visual, or auditory impairments. These additions bring the total number of police services offered at participating fuel stations to eight.
The initiative now allows workers to file individual or group complaints related to unpaid wages, unsafe accommodations, or poor occupational conditions. Meanwhile, people of determination can register for priority emergency response, including faster ambulance dispatch and tailored assistance during critical situations.
Captain Majed bin Saeed Al Kaabi, head of the On-the-Go initiative team, said in a Khaleej Times report that the move reflects Dubai Police’s drive for inclusion and citizen wellbeing. “These additions align with the leadership’s vision to deliver smart, accessible, and people-centric services, enhancing the quality of life and meeting the diverse needs of the public,” he explained.
He added that the initiative was created to bring services closer to the public, noting, “These enhancements are designed to simplify the customer journey, reduce service delivery times, and increase overall user satisfaction—without the need to visit police stations.”
Currently, 158 fuel stations across Dubai now offer the On-the-Go services, up from 138 last year. The program was developed in partnership with fuel providers Enoc, Adnoc, and Emarat, making it the first of its kind globally to deliver police services at petrol stations.
