Team UAE emerged victorious at the 9th Inter-GCC All Filipino One-Day Volleyball League 2025, bringing home the championship trophy after a day of intense matches held in Manama, Bahrain.
The tournament, hosted by the Filipino Club Bahrain and organized by the Filipino Club Volleyball Group (FCVG), drew top volleyball teams representing Filipino communities from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar.
Team UAE showcased impeccable teamwork and athleticism throughout the competition, securing their place in the finals after a series of hard-fought victories in the elimination rounds. In the championship match, they delivered a commanding performance that earned cheers from the Filipino crowd and sealed their win.
Organizers praised the success of the event, highlighting how it fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among overseas Filipinos in the region.
The Inter-GCC All Filipino One-Day Volleyball League has become a staple sporting event for Filipinos in the Middle East, now on its ninth edition, with each year gaining more traction and participation. Plans are already in motion for next year’s 10th edition, with organizers hinting at a bigger venue and expanded categories to accommodate more teams and fans.
