New bus route in Ras Al Khaimah promises faster, more connected commutes

Ras Al Khaimah has rolled out a new city bus line known as the ‘Orange Route,’ linking Al Nakheel to the Main Bus Station in Al Dhait South. Launched by the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), the initiative is part of the emirate’s wider Transport Master Plan 2030 aimed at strengthening public transit infrastructure.

Spanning 13 kilometers and connecting eight key locations, including Julphar Towers, Flamingo Beach, and the Clock Roundabout, the route is expected to improve travel time and accessibility across Ras Al Khaimah. With 20 trips scheduled daily from 6:30am to 8:30pm, passengers can expect a journey of around 25 to 30 minutes per trip at a fare of Dh8.

The addition of the Orange Route brings the total length of the internal bus network in the emirate to 99 kilometers, further supporting RAKTA’s vision for a more integrated and commuter-friendly transport system.
