Travelers arriving at Dubai International Airport and the Hatta Border Crossing were greeted with more than just the usual passport stamp—each received a complimentary ticket to Global Village, one of the UAE’s most popular family destinations.
The initiative, launched under Dubai’s ‘Year of Community’ campaign, aims to enhance the visitor experience by introducing newcomers to the city’s vibrant blend of culture and entertainment. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)–Dubai shared photos of smiling tourists holding both their passports and the surprise Global Village tickets.
“This collaboration reflects our commitment to creating a lasting, positive impression on every visitor,” said Lt-Gen Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of GDRFA. “It’s about reinforcing Dubai’s image as a welcoming, world-class destination.”
Global Village, meanwhile, announced another treat—free entry for children aged 12 and under until the end of its current season. This marks a shift from its standard policy, which typically offers free entry only to children under three, seniors over 65, and people of determination.
Season 29 of Global Village will officially wrap up on May 11, after which the destination will close for the summer.
