Starting May 1, motorists across the UAE will see minor adjustments at the pump as fuel prices for May 2025 take effect. While petrol prices have seen a slight uptick, diesel users can expect some relief this month.
According to the official announcement released on the final day of April, Super 98 will now cost Dhs2.58 per litre, up from Dhs2.57 in April. Special 95 climbs to Dhs2.47 per litre from Dhs2.46, while E-Plus 91 is now Dhs2.39 per litre, a modest increase from Dhs2.38.
On the other hand, diesel prices have dropped to Dhs2.52 per litre from last month’s Dhs2.63, offering a slight break for heavy vehicle operators and logistics companies.
Fuel prices in the UAE are reviewed and adjusted monthly by the federal government, in coordination with Emarat, reflecting global oil market trends. After a price freeze at the end of 2024, rates have gradually shifted in the early months of 2025.
