Sheikh Mohammed: UAE airports to reach historic 150 million passenger milestone

The UAE is on track to register an all-time high of 150 million air passengers this year, according to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed shared the major forecast during his visit to the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, where he highlighted the country’s soaring tourism performance. The annual event gathered over 55,000 global travel and tourism professionals from 166 countries.

Reflecting on the previous year’s success, he noted that the UAE welcomed 30.7 million tourists in 2024, with tourism spending reaching around AED 250 billion.

“When tourists flock to your country, businesses follow, and investment flows in,” he said. “That’s how we know our direction is right, and our development model is among the best in the world.”

The UAE’s continued efforts in positioning itself as a premier global destination are now paying off, with international recognition and growing economic momentum through travel and tourism.
