UAE’s mediation leads to new prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again played a crucial diplomatic role in resolving tensions between Russia and Ukraine, successfully mediating a new prisoner exchange involving 205 Ukrainian prisoners and 205 Russian prisoners. This latest exchange brings the total number of prisoners swapped through UAE-mediated efforts to 4,181.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the cooperation of both Russia and Ukraine, highlighting that the successful exchange reflects the trust both countries have in the UAE’s impartial and humanitarian approach. The ministry noted that this latest mediation marks the 15th such diplomatic intervention by the UAE since the onset of the conflict.

“The UAE is committed to continuing its efforts to support peaceful solutions and reduce the humanitarian impact of the crisis,” the ministry stated, emphasizing its dedication to fostering dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.

As the conflict continues to affect thousands, the UAE’s active role in humanitarian diplomacy remains a testament to its commitment to global peace and stability.
