The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the immediate closure of two food establishments in Abu Dhabi’s industrial areas due to serious violations of food safety regulations, which posed a threat to public health.
Wafi Hypermarket LLC in Mussafah Industrial City and Mana Rotsholo Restaurant in Abu Dhabi Industrial City were shut down after repeated violations, including poor hygiene, pest infestations, and expired food products. ADAFSA stated that both businesses received multiple warnings and were issued three official violations before the closure decision was enforced.
The closures will remain in place until the establishments correct all infractions and comply with food safety standards set by ADAFSA. Authorities emphasized that this action is part of ongoing efforts to protect the food supply chain and maintain public health standards.
ADAFSA urged residents to report any suspected food safety violations by contacting the Abu Dhabi Government’s toll-free hotline at 800555.
