Several Filipinos make it to Forbes ’30 Under 30 Asia’ list for 2025

Several young Filipinos have been recognized in Forbes’ prestigious “30 Under 30 Asia” list for 2025, which highlights rising talents across various fields, including entertainment, sports, finance, venture capital, fintech, social impact, and the arts.

The list, which is now in its 10th edition, features 30 honorees in each of 10 categories. This year’s honorees were selected from over 4,500 candidates, with the final list reflecting those who demonstrated outstanding achievements, innovative ideas, and strong potential for impact in their respective industries.

Among the notable Filipinos included is the eight-member girl group BINI, who captivated audiences worldwide with their electrifying performances and solidified their status as pop icons. Representing the sports category is chess prodigy Daniel Quizon, the Philippines’ youngest Grandmaster who has dominated the international chess scene.

Ysabel Chua, recognized in the finance and venture capital category, serves as vice president at Singapore-based Forge Ventures, where she has been instrumental in leading successful investments in promising startups. Another honoree, Raya Buensuceso, has made waves in the fintech space as managing director of Kaya Founders, overseeing a diverse portfolio of early-stage investments across Southeast Asia.

For social impact, Jasper Ruby Vijar, a medical doctor, earned recognition for his work with Team Dugong Bughaw, an NGO providing reproductive health education and HIV testing in the central Philippines. Meanwhile, Anna Beatriz Suavengco, a food sustainability advocate, gained recognition for her popular “Urban Farmer TV” series, which educates viewers on hydroponic farming.

Renren Galeno, a visual artist recognized in the social media, marketing, and advertising category, has received accolades for her illustrated works, including contributions to Pulitzer Prize-nominated pieces and a National Book Award-winning graphic novel.

Forbes Asia’s editorial director Rana Wehbe Watson emphasized the significance of this year’s honorees, noting their resilience and creativity amid challenging global conditions. “Many are using AI to refine their value propositions and attract investors, while others are building niche businesses for local markets,” she said.
