Sharjah is opening doors for hundreds of jobseekers as His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the creation of 400 new positions in government departments. The recruitment will commence after the Eid Al Adha holiday, with preference given to university graduates who have already undergone training under official human resources initiatives.
In a further push to empower the local workforce, Sheikh Sultan also endorsed the implementation of a major employment training programme. Running from July 1 to December 31, 2025, the Sharjah programme to qualify and train jobseekers has been allocated a budget of AED 55.8 million. It aims to boost employment chances and equip Emiratis with the skills needed to thrive in government roles.
The announcement was made by Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, chairman of the Sharjah Department of Human Resources, during a live call on the “Direct Line” programme on Sharjah Radio and TV.
