UAE sends food aid to thousands in Gaza amid deepening crisis

The United Arab Emirates has dispatched another round of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, delivering food supplies to thousands of Palestinians as part of its ongoing Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

This latest mission is expected to support approximately 15,000 people, following an agreement in late May that allowed the UAE to send aid through a deal with Israeli authorities. The move comes amid dire food shortages and ongoing instability in the war-torn enclave.

The UAE declined to support the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an initiative reportedly linked to violence at aid centers. Instead, the country has focused on direct delivery of assistance through its independent humanitarian channels.

The Gaza Health Ministry has reported that since late May, at least 397 Palestinians seeking aid have lost their lives and over 3,000 others have been injured during chaotic distributions.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, reiterated the country’s steadfast position: “The UAE remains committed to supporting the Palestinian people and addressing their humanitarian needs.”
