Traffic diversion begins at Arabian Ranches junction as major roadworks kick off

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a five-month traffic diversion at the Arabian Ranches junction starting June 22, part of ongoing efforts to improve connectivity along Al Qudra Road.

The temporary rerouting supports bridge construction aimed at easing traffic flow between key routes in the area. Among the major changes is the removal of the existing traffic signal at the intersection linking Al Qudra Road with Arabian Ranches and Dubai Studio City. This will make way for a smoother, signal-free commute.

Motorists can also expect two newly added U-turns, designed to maintain traffic flexibility without stopping, and a rerouted flow of vehicles between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street — now operating outside the main intersection zone.

RTA advised drivers to adjust accordingly, especially during rush hours. “Plan trips in advance, head out early, and avoid peak hours,” the agency urged.
