Scorching temperatures hit UAE again as hot, humid weather persists

Another sweltering day is unfolding across the UAE, with temperatures pushing past 45°C in several regions, particularly inland. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the country will generally experience fair skies, although some eastern areas may see intermittent cloud cover.

Temperatures are forecast to climb between 42°C and 47°C in internal areas, while coastal spots and islands could see highs ranging from 36°C to 42°C. The mountains offer some relief with cooler weather, sitting between 32°C and 37°C.

Humidity levels are also expected to rise, with coastal and mountain regions reaching up to 70%, while internal areas will range from 40% to 60%. The NCM advises residents to stay well-hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

Winds will remain light to moderate but could pick up in open areas, potentially kicking up dust. This current weather pattern is the result of a surface low-pressure system from the East, a high-pressure zone moving from the West, and a weak upper trough influencing the atmosphere.

At sea, conditions will worsen as the day progresses. The Arabian Gulf may shift from moderate to rough waves by evening, while the Oman Sea is expected to see similarly choppy waters at times.
