UAE residents brace for rising temperatures and sticky conditions today

The UAE is in for a warm and humid day as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts mainly clear skies across the country, with a few clouds expected to develop over eastern areas.

Temperatures are on the rise, especially inland where the mercury could climb between 41°C and 46°C. Coastal and island regions will see slightly lower but still intense heat ranging from 37°C to 42°C, while mountainous areas will experience milder highs between 30°C and 35°C.

Humidity is expected to spike overnight and into Saturday morning, particularly in coastal areas, with levels reaching between 60% and 80% — likely resulting in uncomfortable, sticky conditions.

Winds will be light to moderate throughout the day, blowing from southeast to northwest. At times, they may pick up to 35 km/h, stirring up dust in exposed areas.

Despite the heat, sea conditions will remain calm with only slight waves forecasted in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, offering relatively good conditions for marine activities.
