Up to 49°C expected across UAE today amid rising humidity and heat

Residents across the UAE are in for another sweltering day, with the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting scorching conditions, particularly in inland areas where temperatures are expected to soar between 44°C and 49°C.

Coastal areas and islands won’t be spared either, with highs ranging from 37°C to 44°C, while mountain regions may see temperatures hover between 35°C and 39°C. The overall weather will remain fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds likely to drift along the eastern coast.

Humidity is expected to climb during the night and into Wednesday morning, raising the possibility of fog or mist in some coastal and internal regions. Winds will generally be light to moderate, occasionally picking up to 35 km/h, especially from the southwest to northwest.

Despite the oppressive heat, sea conditions are forecasted to stay relatively calm, with the Arabian Gulf ranging from slight to moderate and the Oman Sea remaining slight.

Authorities continue to urge the public to stay vigilant, hydrate frequently, limit outdoor exposure during the hottest parts of the day, and keep an eye on official weather advisories.
