Night swimming now allowed in Abu Dhabi as Marsana Beach lights up

Abu Dhabi residents and tourists can now enjoy the beach long after the sun goes down, thanks to the city’s first night swimming beach at Marsana East Beach on Hudayriyat Island.

Launching this July and running through the end of September, the new night-time beach experience allows guests to take a dip in floodlit waters, with lifeguards on duty until 10pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends. The initiative offers a refreshing escape from the scorching summer heat, while also ensuring safety for swimmers.

Beyond the cool evening swim, the beach is designed as a full-fledged night destination. Visitors can expect family-friendly activities, themed summer events, and special dining deals from eight on-site restaurants. Comfortable loungers, complimentary towels, luxury seating, and mini coolers filled with cold water elevate the experience even more.

Adding convenience to the charm, beachgoers can order food and drinks via QR codes, with items delivered straight to their spot on the sand – all part of Marsana’s expanding hospitality offerings.

The new attraction reflects Abu Dhabi’s growing push to enhance leisure options and promote outdoor recreation, making Hudayriyat Island a top choice for residents and tourists alike.
