Etihad expands in the US with new flights to Atlanta starting July

Etihad Airways has officially landed in Atlanta, marking its debut in the southeastern United States and continuing its strategic push across North America.

The inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport touched down at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on July 2, making Atlanta the fifth U.S. city in Etihad’s expanding network—alongside New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Boston.

The route launched with four flights per week, but surging demand and strong bookings have already prompted the airline to ramp up operations. Daily flights are now scheduled to begin in November 2025.

“Atlanta is a dynamic city with deep cultural, economic and aviation significance,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. “This new service enhances access to the southeastern United States while offering seamless connections across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Asia.”

A key benefit for passengers flying out of Abu Dhabi is the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Preclearance facility at Zayed International Airport—the only one of its kind in the region. This allows travelers to complete U.S. customs and immigration before boarding, arriving in Atlanta as domestic passengers.
