More paid parking zones now active in Abu Dhabi—don’t get caught off guard

Abu Dhabi motorists will now need to comply with Mawaqif paid parking rules in several additional areas, as Q Mobility announced the official activation of the system starting Thursday, July 10, 2025.

The newly covered zones include Eastern Mangroves, Dolphin Park, and sectors along Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street — specifically Al Khaleej Al Arabi Park 1, 2, 4, and 5 — as well as Al Qurm Plaza. The move comes after Q Mobility finalized infrastructure work, which involved curb painting, setting up directional signs, and placing public awareness boards.

The agency said the expansion aligns with its long-term plan to improve parking management and traffic flow across the capital. It emphasized that Mawaqif will be enforced based on existing regulations across the emirate.

To avoid penalties, drivers are advised to follow the instructions shown on the signages and to make use of the Darb app and other digital payment channels.
