Sharjah’s efforts to provide dignified living conditions for its citizens continue, with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approving a new housing support package worth Dh335 million for families in urgent need.
The latest phase of the housing initiative will benefit 431 families across the emirate. These include individuals currently living in rental units, shared spaces with relatives, inherited houses, and homes deemed structurally unsafe.
Under this directive, all beneficiaries will receive government-provided homes, offered as grants to help ease their burdens and ensure long-term stability.
The initiative underscores the Ruler’s ongoing commitment to prioritising the welfare of Sharjah residents. In recent months, Sheikh Dr Sultan has made several similar interventions. On June 9, he allocated Dh100 million in compensation to homeowners in Al Madam whose residences had been replaced with newer units. Earlier, in January, he also approved Dh15 million to address delays in the construction of 70 government homes after the project was temporarily halted.
