Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the completion of the first phase of its project to upgrade marine transport waiting areas in the bustling Dubai Marina district.
Five stations—Marina Promenade, Marina Terrace, Marina Walk, Marina Mall, and Marina Mall 1—have been revamped with full air-conditioning and enhanced passenger facilities. These improvements aim to provide greater comfort and convenience for daily commuters and tourists using water transport services.
The upgraded stations now feature architectural designs inspired by traditional wooden abras, blending Dubai’s rich maritime heritage with a sleek, modern aesthetic. The initiative aligns with RTA’s wider commitment to enhance marine transit infrastructure across the city and deliver high-quality transport services.
The authority confirmed that the project is part of an ongoing effort to boost the appeal and efficiency of marine travel as Dubai continues to expand its transportation network.
