Parking upgrades underway in Al Rigga, Al Sabkha, and Al Souq Al Kabeer, says RTA

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has begun upgrading parking facilities in some of the city’s busiest districts, including Al Rigga, Al Sabkha, and Al Souq Al Kabeer.

In an advisory posted on Saturday, May 31, the RTA confirmed that the ongoing development aims to enhance the overall efficiency and accessibility of parking spaces in these key areas. While the works are in progress, the authority is encouraging the public to explore alternative commuting options.

“To ensure convenient travel during this development phase, we recommend choosing public transportation, an efficient and comfortable solution to reach your destination effortlessly. The metro, buses, taxis, and other modes of public transport are all available for your daily commute,” the RTA said in a post on X.

The upgrade is part of Dubai’s continued efforts to improve its urban mobility and ensure smoother traffic flow in high-traffic zones.
