Alexie Brooks, the reigning Miss Eco International and proud Ilongga beauty queen, has publicly shared that she has been in a same-sex relationship for nearly a year.
The 24-year-old made the revelation during a candid interview on Ask Boy Abunda, where she gently corrected the host when asked about a “man” in her life. “I’ll rephrase [the term]. The woman,” she said with a warm smile, confirming her relationship status.
Brooks became emotional as she recalled how her partner stood by her during the loss of her grandmother. “She helped me get up from the floor. I didn’t eat in a few days, she did not eat in a few days. She made sure I was okay and I think that tells so much about how much she cares for me and how much she loves me,” Brooks said.
While she chose not to reveal her partner’s identity, Brooks expressed deep gratitude for having someone who supports her dreams and brings her joy.
Last month, Brooks publicly identified as androgynous, explaining that her gender expression shifts between masculine and feminine styles depending on how she feels.
Brooks recently brought pride to the country by winning the Miss Eco International title in April, marking the Philippines’ third win in the pageant’s history. She also earned a Top 10 spot in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 as Iloilo City’s representative before being appointed Miss Eco Philippines 2025.
