RTA revamps Dubai bus routes to boost connectivity and shorten travel times

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a series of enhancements to the city’s public bus network, designed to improve travel efficiency and expand coverage across key residential, industrial, and emerging areas.

The revised network includes new termination points, rerouted paths, and additional stops in fast-developing communities—ensuring that commuters in growing neighborhoods are better connected to the wider city.

Among the key changes:

Route 17 now ends at Baniyas Square Metro Station instead of Sabkha.

Route 24 has been redirected within Al Nahda 1.

Route 44 now takes a new path through Dubai Festival City instead of Rebat Street.

Route 56 has been extended to reach DWC Staff Village.

Routes 66 and 67 now include a new stop in Al Ruwayyah Farm.

Route 32C no longer runs between Al Jafiliya and Satwa Bus Station—passengers can transfer to route F27 for Satwa.

Route C26 now boards at Max Metro Bus Stop 2 instead of Al Jafiliya.

Route E16 terminates at Union Bus Station instead of Sabkha.

Route F12 has been rerouted via Kuwait Street, skipping Satwa Roundabout to Wasal Park.

Route F27 has moved to Max Metro Bus Stop 2.

Route F47 now follows a revised route within the Jebel Ali Industrial area.

Route F54 has been extended to serve the new camp in JAFZA South.

The RTA emphasized that these updates are part of its broader strategy to keep public transport services responsive and future-ready as Dubai continues to expand. Commuters are encouraged to check the updated routes before traveling.
