Dubai’s mounted police unit completes over 1,400 patrols in 2024

Dubai Police’s mounted patrol unit has completed 1,464 patrols across the emirate in 2024, contributing significantly to the city’s safety and security efforts.

The horseback officers monitored industrial zones, commercial hubs, and tourist destinations, resulting in 463 traffic violations and routine checks on individuals and vehicles. They also provided security at 38 sporting events and offered protection to key sports facilities.

Major General Dr. Expert Mohammed Issa Al Adhab, Director of the Mounted Police Station, said the unit plays a crucial role in Dubai’s overall security plan.

“Our mounted patrols are instrumental in reaching areas inaccessible to vehicles. They help boost police visibility and community trust, while ensuring 100% coverage across the emirate,” he said.

The unit operates from four strategically placed stations to ensure efficient deployment throughout the city.
