Starting May 2, 2025, Dubai residents will have a new public transport option as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) launches Route E308, connecting Dubai and Sharjah. The new route will shuttle passengers between Stadium Bus Station in Dubai and Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah, with a one-way fare priced at Dh12.
Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, emphasized the importance of strengthening links between emirates. “Enhancing intercity connectivity is key to establishing public transport as the preferred choice for mobility across the emirate,” he said. The new service reflects RTA’s broader goal of expanding the bus network and integrating it with the Metro, tram, and marine systems.
Alongside the launch of Route E308, several adjustments to existing routes are set to improve travel efficiency and passenger convenience. Notable changes include Route 17’s new terminus at Baniyas Square Metro Station and Route 24’s rerouting within Al Nahda 1. Meanwhile, Route 44 will now serve Dubai Festival City via Al Rebat Street, and Route 56 will be extended to the DWC Staff Village.
Further enhancements involve new stops for Routes 66 and 67 at Al Ruwayah Farm, a shortened Route 32C between Al Jafiliya and Al Satwa, and multiple relocations and extensions in areas like Jebel Ali, JAFZA South, and Max Metro. These updates are part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to create a more efficient and interconnected public transport system across Dubai and neighboring cities.
