Authorities in Oman confirmed the tragic deaths of two young boys who drowned while swimming at Al Khabourah beach in the North Al Batinah Governorate.
The Royal Oman Police said the victims, aged 10 and 7, were pulled from the water with the help of the Coast Guard and local citizens. The incident occurred earlier this week and was announced on Thursday.
This marks the latest in a string of drowning cases reported in the country. In February, two individuals lost their lives at Ain Wadah in Bahla. Just last October, a child died and another was rescued in Al Haddah, Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali.
Authorities continue to remind the public to take safety precautions when visiting beaches or water bodies, especially with children.
