Sharjah Police have arrested a motorist who attempted to dodge traffic laws by using fake licence plates—only to be caught after racking up 137 violations and fines amounting to AED 104,000.
According to a Khaleej Times report, authorities revealed that the driver not only committed numerous offences but also had a staggering 308 black points and an impoundment period exceeding 764 days.
According to Col. Omar Mohammed Bu Ghanem, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, the arrest was made possible through close coordination between patrol officers and the Command and Control Centre, aided by advanced surveillance systems across the emirate.

Sharjah Police reaffirmed their commitment to road safety, stating that all violations will be closely monitored and dealt with firmly to uphold public safety and order.
